Each year, England and World XI take to the pitch to see who will be crowned that year’s winner of Soccer Aid, and 2024 will be no different.

Who has won the most Soccer Aid matches?
Soccer Aid for Unicef was started by Robbie Williams in 2006 and is the biggest celebrity charity football match in the world.
There have been 12 occasions that England and World XI have faced off since Soccer Aid began.
The match was originally played every other year, but since 2018 it has been held annually.
However, due to the global pandemic in 2020 it was held behind closed doors.
England were the first winners of the tournament in 2006, but since then have only one four more times.
Ahead of the 2024 charity match at Stamford Bridge, World XI have won seven matches.

World XI have triumphed in the iconic charity match for FIVE straight years.

- 2006: England 2-1 Rest of the World
- 2008: England 4-3 Rest of the World
- 2010: England 2-2 Rest of the World 2-2 (6-7 on penalties)
- 2012: England 3-1 Rest of the World
- 2014: England 2-4 Rest of the World
- 2016: England 3-2 Rest of the World
- 2018: England 3-3 World XI (4-3 on penalties)
- 2019: England 2-2 World XI (1-3 on penalties)
- 2020 England 1-1 World XI (3-4 on penalties)
- 2021: England 0-3 World XI
- 2022: England 2-2 World XI (1-4 on penalties)
- 2023: England 2-4 World XI
The England squad will be relieved that Kem Cetinay is not in the line-up for the World XI having put five goals past them as the competition’s top scorer.
England’s top scorers are Teddy Sheringham, and Jonathan Wilkes with three-a-piece.
Jermain Defoe is the highest scorer taking to the pitch in 2024 having bagged two goals in the 2016 England win at Old Trafford.
When is Soccer Aid 2024?
Soccer Aid takes place TONIGHT – Sunday, June 9, 2024.
Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
The match is taking place in London at Chelsea’s home, Stamford Bridge – the first time it has been held in SW6 since 2019.
England will wear a special kit that replicates the Three Lions’ outfit from Euro 96.
