Who are the Soccer Aid 2024 presenters and commentators?
The Soccer Aid 2024 presenters will once again be Dermot O’Leary and Alex Scott.
The dynamic duo will return to present the show and the build-up before the game.
ITV’s Sam Matterface will lead commentary with Love Island voiceover star Iain Sterling on co-comms.
Who is Dermot O’Leary and how many times has he hosted Soccer Aid?
Dermot has been the leading presenter of Soccer Aid every year since 2010.
Dermot is best known for his recurring role as a presenter on This Morning.
He made his debut on our screens in 1998 and has become one of the nation’s most beloved presenters.
He is well known for his decade-long association with the singing show The X Factor.
The TV host has also presented many other TV shows, award shows and charity events throughout his career.
One of his most well-known presenting roles was on Big Brother, which he left in 2008.
Dermot also has a career in Radio, from indie rock station XFM to BBC Radio 2.
He had his own show titled Dermot’s Saturday Club on BBC Radio 2 until it ended in 2017.
Who is Alex Scott and how many times has she hosted Soccer Aid?
Alex Scott is a former professional footballer and is now a TV presenter.
During her professional playing career, she spent the majority of her time playing for Arsenal.
She spent a season at Birmingham City and then three years in America playing for the Boston Breakers.
She even scored the winning goal for Arsenal in the 2007 UEFA Women’s Cup Final.
Alex was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
Since 2019, she is a pundit for BBC Sports and Sky Sports and has covered the 2018 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Since retiring from professional football, she now has a full time career in television broadcasting.
Alex has presented Soccer Aid with Dermot since 2021 and will return for the 2024 edition.
When is Soccer Aid 2024?
Soccer Aid takes place on Sunday, June 9, 2024., Kick-off has not been confirmed, but in previous years it has been at 7.30pm.
The match, which was held at the London Stadium last year, has moved across London to Chelsea’s home, Stamford Bridge – the first time it has been held in SW6 since 2019.
England will also wear a special kit that replicates the Three Lions’ outfit from Euro 96.
