A MUM-OF-TWO has revealed the unconventional treat she splurged on after striking gold in the lottery.
Nine years ago, Rachel De Oliveira scooped just short of £52,000 through a lottery syndicate of 10 people or couples.
A syndicate is a group of individuals who pool their money together to buy lottery tickets collectively.
By doing so, they increase their chances of winning because they can afford to purchase more tickets than they could individually.
And it seems the practice worked in Rachel and her husband Phil’s favour.
The couple, who have been married for 14 years and have two sons together, scooped the prize when they were five years into their marriage.
“It wasn’t exactly life changing,” the 40-year-old mum from Melbourne, Aus admitted.
However, she was able to make a personal investment in her body using part of the winnings.
While Phil splurged some of the winnings on a new golf buggy and golf clubs, Rachel had a boob job.
“I went and got my breasts fixed… if you want to call it that,” she shared in a now-viral TikTok video.
“I had a lift and implants.
“After breastfeeding my two boys, they were left completely deflated.
“You could literally pick up the skin and shake it – they were like saggy ball sacks.”
After treating themselves individually, the couple used the rest of the money – around £62,000 – to pay towards their mortgage.
Her video explaining the story sparked a flurry of interest on social media – particularly around Rachel’s boob job.
“As a mum of two boys… I understand the description,” Charlie Della commented.
“I’m also looking at a lift thanks to them.”
