THE UK will soon be gripped with football mania as the Euro’s get under way – and Aldi is offering some kit ideal for the tournament.
The German discounter is known for stocking quirky and unusual items in the Specialbuys section of its stores.

There will also be an England T-shirt on sale for £5 and UEFA Euro footballs for £10 a pop.
Scottish football fans will be able to grab a bucket hat for £6, hoodie for £13 and cap for £6, as well as a T-shirt for a fiver.
This is the full list of items on sale from June 13:
- Euros England bucket hat – £6
- Euros England T-shirt – £5
- Euros England hoodie – £13
- Euros Scotland T-shirt – £5
- Euros Scotland hoodie – £13

Of course, Specialbuys are only available to buy in-store, after the retailer axed its online delivery service last summer.
You should be quick too as they’ll only be available for a limited time only.
Remember too, to always shop around when buying something like this as you might find a cheaper deal elsewhere.
Websites like Price Spy and Trolley let you compare prices on products across retailers and supermarkets.
Meanwhile, the Google Shopping/Product is useful for scanning the internet to see how much a particular item is selling for across different websites.
We had a quick look to see how much other retailers are selling similar Euro-themed products for.
In most cases, you’ll save money by shopping at Aldi.
Matalan is selling an England bucket hat for £6 but it does come with a £4 delivery charge, meaning it’s £4 more expensive than Aldi.
Meanwhile, Mountain Warehouse is selling a Scotland cap for £8 down from £14, but again there’s a £4.50 delivery fee – making it £6.50 more expensive than Aldi.
That said, The Range and Wilko are both selling a Euro size 5 football for £8, £2 cheaper than Aldi’s own version.
How to save money at Aldi
It’s worth keeping an eye out for any red sticker products, which staff add to items when they’ve been reduced in price.
Aldi tends to add them to items in the morning so it’s best to get in there early if you want to get the best discounts.
Keep an eye out for slashed-price fruits and vegetables as well – the retailer tends to reduce six items every two weeks to “silly low” prices, according to deals expert Tom Church.
Get ahead of the crowd by signing up to Aldi’s newsletter and following the retailer on social media as well.
It often announces upcoming deals via the two channels so you can snap up the best prices before anyone else.
And of course, take advantage of Aldi’s cheap alcohol which could save you some cash compared to going with branded versions.
